The club programm evolves with the child's development. We welcome children from the end of 3rd grade. Parents in particular need to get used to the fact that their children can come and go as they please until 6pm. Children have to get used to a host of new activities and greater freedom of choice. The offers evolve with their age, and from 6th grade they can stay in the club until 9pm, and they can also use our sister club Klub Kastellet. When they reach 8th grade, they can choose freely between the programmes offered by all the city's youth networks.
The Fritidsklub on Præstøgade welcomes children from Nyboder Skole, Skolen på Strandboulevarden and Institut Sankt Joseph, as well as from 6th grade Langelinieskolen.
3rd-5th grades from Langelinieskolen are referred to Klub Kastellet.
We have a great weekly selection of activities that cater to creative souls, sports enthusiasts, the musical, foodies and many many more. Take a look and see what you can expect in the coming weeks. The calendar will be updated regularly.
It is natural and important for children to stand on their own two feet and not be wrapped up in cotton wool, but to slowly learn to co-determine and take responsibility. In the club, we offer challenging games, holiday trips, excursions, etc. to give the children some good and exciting experiences with their friends in a safe environment, while we work to develop the children's skills. If you have any questions about our pedagogical practice - generally or specifically in relation to your child - you are always welcome to contact Assistant Manager Mia Liv Skarsø, mia@pumpestationen.dk.
Below you can download the Benchmarks & Core Competences, as well as a leaflet with a more detailed description of our pedagogical foundation:
The contact educators conduct a well-being assessment (screening) of each child after 3 months in the club. Should there be any points where the child is in the yellow or red zone, action plans are implemented - which the contact educators work with. This is to identify the circumstances and make relevant efforts to ensure that all children who have joined the club have the best possible conditions for well-being. They are assessed based on the following themes: basic mood, conflicts, social relationships (community), social skills, health, contact, motor skills, language and parental co-operation. A well-being assessment form is used, which can be downloaded above.
General questions regarding the well-being assessment can be directed to our screening coordinator Andreas Fløde, andreas@pumpestationen.dk
When your child has been at Pumpestationen for 3 months, you have the opportunity to ask for a well-being interview. The meeting will initially take place with the child's contact teacher, where we will go through the child's general well-being in the club, the transition to the club, friendships and community, social skills and any special comments. The period in which the well-being interviews are held is announced in our newsletter.
Following the well-being assessments, the contact teachers conduct well-being interviews with all children in their respective classes. Our approach is holistic, where all aspects of the child's life are discussed and questioned: Well-being in clubs, friendships, social and academic well-being at school, community life and more. This provides a great starting point for assessing the child's well-being, while the child experiences a confidential forum with an attentive contact teacher.

The username is the email address you provided in the account records. You will receive a welcome email with a password for the parent portal no later than a couple of weeks after the club starts. If you havn't received a login, it may be because the email with login information has ended up in your spam filter. It may also be because we do not have your correct email address in our system (this may also be the case even if you receive our newsletter).
Questions regarding parent login and login details can be directed to Jonas at jonas@pumpestationen.dk or by phone 35 26 39 62.
At the start of the club, we teach children how to sign up for activities. They usually do this by signing up on the registration lists on the notice board at the information desk (Infoen). However, not all activities require you to sign up in advance. Often you can just turn up and jump into the activity.
Activities that require a binding enrolment and/or a certain amount of co-payment will require a parent to enrol their child. This applies to e.g. horse riding and colonies. These types of activities will be announced in our weekly newsletter, which will also include information on how to register and to whom.
At the start of the club, each class is assigned a contact teacher. The contact teacher's job is to introduce their class to the club and build relationships with the children, parents and schools. If you need to talk to an educator about your child's well-being, you can always contact your child's contact educator or deputy manager Sanne Thorvil. Find your child's contact teacher here.
In 4th grade, class trips are organised at least once every two months, where the contact teacher organises an excursion for the contact class. Here, the children have the opportunity to get to know their contact teacher better and vice versa. Each child also has the opportunity to have a child well-being interview.
