If also the If you're struggling to decide which advent calendar you're going to nag your parents about this year, read on. We've sacrificed ourselves to the good cause and chewed our way through eight different Christmas calendars that offer something for everyone - the sour, the spicy, the sweet and the healthy.
The Children's Reporter panel consists of: Uma, Asta, Signe, Victoria, Markus, Levi, Hector and Glenn. All the Christmas calendars are bought in Netto.
Dumle (59 kr.): 3 Santa hats
There are no big surprises behind the doors, but on the front is a fun Christmas word puzzle that you can solve while munching on Dumle.
Flavour: If you like the classic Dumle caramels, you'll also like this one, which offers caramels in four different flavours (3 caps).
Is it worth the money? It's a bit boring and disappointed us with the selection. But the fact that there's something special behind the gate on 24/12 (3 hats) makes up for it.
Is it Christmassy? Yes, it's among the most Christmassy. (4 hats)
Oreo Marabou (85 kr.): 3 Santa hats
Oreo with chocolate coating? Yes, that's what you get in this calendar. And you also get a lot of delicious Marabou chocolate but not so many biscuits. So if you're a fan of Oreo biscuits, you might be a little disappointed.
Flavour: We love chocolate, but some of the chocolate is a little too sweet for our taste. (3 hats)
Is it worth the money? Yes, but don't expect much variation in the chocolate. (3 hats)
Is it Christmassy? Apart from a nice Christmas tree, the front cover is a bit dull and actually reveals all the contents, which spoils the surprise a bit. (3 hats)
Celebrations (85 kr.): 2 Santa hats
This advent calendar is filled with classic chocolate bars like Bounty, Twix, Maltesers, Milky Way and Snickers.
Flavour: It tastes like the familiar chocolate bars. But no surprises (3 hats).
Is it worth the money? No, and if you're expecting a little extra behind the gate on 24 December, you'll be sorely disappointed. (2 hats)
Is it Christmassy? The box is shaped like a Christmas tree, but otherwise we don't think it's very Christmassy. (2 hats)
Skipper's pipes (99 kr.): 3 Santa hats
A fun liquorice calendar that requires you to like... well, liquorice pipes. Because there's nothing else. But there is an extra nut liquorice in the package. And there's also an extra large gift on the 24th.
Flavour: As long as you like liquorice sticks - sweet and salty - you'll like this one. (3 caps)
Is it worth the money? Yes, very much so. You get a lot for your money. (3 hats)
Is it Christmassy? It's Christmassy and beautifully made with fun details. Even the seagulls and polar bear have liquorice sticks in their mouths and the numbers on the doors are shaped like the black sticks. (3 hats)
Fruit Funk (50 kr.): 2 Santa hats
Aimed at younger children, the vegan fruit bars and raisins are a great alternative for kids who either don't like sweets or aren't allowed to have them. But finding a packet of raisins behind the door never gets exciting.
Flavour: It's a little hard to say what the fruit bars taste like, although they come in many different flavours including strawberry, banana and peach. (3 caps)
Is it worth the money? No, it's much more expensive than buying fruit bars and raisins separately. (3 caps)
Is it Christmassy? It's more wintery. The only Christmassy thing is the Paw Patrol dogs wearing Santa hats. (2 hats)
Chupa Chups (99 kr.): 3 Santa hats
If you love fruit sweets and lollipops, this calendar is probably for you. The advantage is that there are many different kinds of sweets.
Flavour: A classic candy flavour. (4 caps)
Is it worth the money? Yes, but it should have been a little cheaper (3 hats)
Is it Christmassy? The front is a bit messy - but also fun. However, the contents are revealed on the outside of the box, which will make some people sad and others happy. (3 hats)
Brain Blasterz (39 kr.): 3 Santa hats
This is the Christmas calendar for those who can't get it sour or strong enough.
Flavour: Sour, sweet and spicy. From cola and cherry to lime and orange. (3 caps)
Is it worth the money? Yes, there are many different flavours and it's the cheapest calendar among those we tested. (3 hats)
Is it Christmassy? No, and that's a drag. But the look makes you curious to try it. (1)
