My name is Victoria and I've been practising karate for four years. I think I'm pretty good at it and I dream of getting even better. In fact, I dream of becoming a black belt before my father. Here I want to tell you about my sport and why I like karate.

I started taking karate because I wanted to wanted to be able to defend myself. At first I thought it would be hard and difficult difficult and that I wouldn't be able to do it. And it was a bit hard and difficult hard and difficult, but as I got better and earned new belts, I got more and more I wanted to get even better.

My father also took karate as a child, and now I've actually become so good that I've overtaken him and have a higher belt than him. I have a blue belt blue belt and my father has only reached a yellow belt with four red lines.

I go to karate once a week and have made some great friends through my sport.

Many people think that karate is just a martial art that is about becoming good at fighting, but in fact the most important thing in karate is discipline, to be able to concentrate and focus. But also to have the energy and strength to be able to do something for others. This could be, for example, in a situation situation like you see in some superhero films, where some thugs steal a bag bag from a sweet old lady.

In such a situation, you can use your karate to save the lady the lady and put the criminal on the ground. However, you have to let him go again if he gives up, and it mustn't hurt him very much. And it must not become violent.

You also train your balance and timing in karate. It's all about a lot about controlling your body, mind and hearing.

You are also allowed to use karate for self-defence in case someone wants to kidnap you and hold on to both your arms, for example. Then you can use your leg to push him away on your stomach.

Karate has made me feel more comfortable walking around alone on the street because if someone were to come and hit me, I can defend myself.

I think the best thing about karate for me is doing it. It makes me makes me happy and I make new friends. It also makes me proud to learn something new and to gain some skills that I can use throughout my life.

There are many different types of karate. The type I practice is one of the oldest and most widespread: Okinawa Goju Ryu is its name. In Okinawa Goju Ryu there are 25 belts. As already mentioned, I have reached the blue belt. You can see them all here.
